Saying goodbye to summer is never easy. But, happen it must! The girls (even Elizabeth) were excited to start the new school year. Elizabeth was placed in Mrs. DeLine's 3rd grade class and Abby was starting full day Kindergarten with Mrs. Wilson.
We kicked off our school year routine and walked up to school. I am so fortunate to be able to take the girls to school every morning and to be there when the bell rings each afternoon. And, we have the opportunity to walk every day, one of the perks of living two blocks from school!

This year's first day was special because the girls had the opportunity to take part in the raising of the flags. The Girl Scout troops worked together and unfolded the flags and helped Danny (Peabody's custodian) hang the flags and hoist the colors!
Another start to another year of school. Now that the girls are two months into the school year, I can say that they are having a wonderful year and still loving school.
