Sander Wedding

Over the weekend, we had the pleasure of attending Ryan Sander's wedding in Parker, CO. We were very eager to have a "date night" where we could dress up and go some place other than Moe's! Ryan got married to Kelley...I can't believe it, but I don't have a single photo of the bride and groom :(
The VanDusseldorps and Amanns were assigned to the Salina table.
The wedding was very lovely. It had been originally intended to hold the ceremony outdoors, but it had snowed the night before. It was a cold evening. Plan B turned out to be very lovely. Aspens and candles adorned the hall.
 Nathan and I enjoyed ourselves.

We got to visit with friends that we normally only get to see once and twice a year. Jeff and Katie Price joined us at the Salina table after Mark and Jenn had to suddenly leave to be with Henry. Eventually they returned with Henry in tow.
We also got to visit with friends that we see frequently. We had a nice night with Jer and Lindsay!

We love attending weddings. We noticed how different weddings are now that everybody has kids. Not only were we ready to go home at 9 p.m., but the dance floor was consumed by young children! All of the guests got so much pleasure out of watching the little girls and boys dance to Lady Gaga! We had wished that our own kids had attended...kind of!

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Sander! Thanks for the invitation, it was a lovely wedding.

Autumn Crafts

We so very happily greet fall at the VanDusseldorp home! As much as we love the warm summer days, there is nothing like a crisp fall afternoon! We are happy to pull out our gloves and hats for our evening strolls.
One night last week, we took Banjo for a walk around the neighborhood and then returned home to hot cocoa and pumpkin painting!
Elizabeth loves crafts and she's really quite the artist!

Abigail also likes craft time, but she looses interest quickly.
 Elizabeth's designs are very elaborate.
These are Abigail's pumpkins. I think she was done after five minutes. Her artwork is still lovely.
A very proud artist.

We look forward to autumn, Halloween and Thanksgiving. We will embrace the cool weather, patiently anticipating snow fall!

Soccer Skate Night

The Englewood Soccer Association scheduled a day for all of the soccer teams to have a night off of practice to go to Skate City. Nate and I weren't too thrilled about going, but we didn't want to be the only family form the team that wasn't there. Turns out we were the only family from our team that was there!
Even still, we laced up our skates and took to the rink! Skating doesn't work great for three year olds. Abby needed to hold onto Nate or I and we were having trouble keeping ourselves up!
 Abigail eventually gave up!
Abby and I took our skates off and Nate helped Elizabeth go around a few times. It wasn't easy!
We were pooped and decided to turn in our skates and play some video games.

It was an interesting evening for the VanDusseldorp family!
