A Beautiful Summer Night for a ZBB Show

After the fun that we had earlier in the summer at the Avett Brothers show, we were looking forward to ZBB but weren't nearly as pumped. Little did we know, ZBB would perform a better show than they had the previous summer and we would LOVE every minute of it!
Jen's company manages a building near Fiddlers Green so we were able to park close to the venue for free. We pre-gamed a touch at our house and then carpooled over the show. We continued our pre-game in the lot and then made our way over to the show!

We thought this would make a pretty cool album cover when Roozing, Sean, Nate and I start our own band!

Relaxing on the lawn before the show.

It was a beautiful evening for a show!

This fancy hat made an appearance in many of our photos! Brad and Jen thought that Nate just had to have the hat and split the cost! Such a handsome guy!

See!

Yet again! Jeff and Katie were also at the show with some of their other friends.

I think that we get the point!

Winter, myself, Jayne, Jen & Dana! We had such a fantastic time!
I just love a country show on a beautiful summer night in Colorado! Red Rocks will always be my first choice, but Zach Brown Band rocks at any venue and this show was no exception. ZBB had their own take on a few classics and we sang and danced the night away.

A fabulous summer of concerts! I can't wait to find out what next summer will bring!

(Side Note: Happy Birthday Jayne--Brad surprised her with tickets to the show!)

5280 Ladies' Fantasy Football Draft Night 2014

I am writing this post mid-way through the season and I can't say that I'm happy with my standing (10/10) so forgive the short posting about our annual draft fun, but I'm not feeling pretty upset over my six game losing streak!

Every year that we draft our fantasy football teams, there are typically changes in rules and participants. This year we were excited to invite Kim as a first-timer into the league. We introduced waivers into our league to step up the competition a little bit.

We also drafted our teams online. While this allowed Sarah to draft sick from home and Natalie draft from Minnesota, I was not a fan and we will go back to the "old school" draft board next year. The online draft flew by and because it was so fast, it was hard to research and select your next pick.
We drafted indoors because the rain was coming and going throughout the night. Another bummer, as we typically draft outdoors but were unable to because we all had to use a computer to draft and didn't want to get wet.

Baby Ivy joined us this year and we all enjoyed a little baby-time!

Cara paid tribute to Nate's signature photo poses, the thumbs up and the pointer finger!

Cara was a fantastic addition to the league! I'm so glad that she finally came around!
The highlight of the evening was tee-peeing Dan's house! Because we live around the corner from Dan and Julie (my brother and sister in law) their house is an easy target. It was even more so because Julie and the boys were out of town!
Yes, we are very mature! Is it sad that this was the biggest adrenaline rush that I've had in years?

As I mentioned, I am feeling very cynical at this point in the football season, but really, it was a fantastic draft party--as always! I'm glad that we got to all relax (and TP the neighbor), share and eat good food, and enjoy each other's company.
