Easter Celebrations...Better Late Than Never!

I like to blog our special, precious memories because I have a terrible memory and I will one day depend on our life's events being archived on the World Wide Web. But, when I take so long to write down our memories, they tend to dull. I have a lot of catching up to do, starting with Easter (yes, I have six months of blogging to catch up on)! So, bare with me as I refresh my memories and slowly, but surely, catch up on our archives!

I so love Eater time. It's the season of new beginnings and as the leaves start to bloom on the trees, I like to seize the season and enjoy outdoor activities with the kids! Hunting for Easter eggs is one of those precious traditions that we cherish in our household.

But first you have to dye the eggs. We do this every year to help out the Easter bunny. We leave them in the fridge so that he can grab 'em and hide 'em for the girls to find on Easter morning.

Each year the girls get more and more crafty with their eggs. We have much less drop, splash, crack going on in our household now that the girls are more imaginative, and more careful!
We participated in the Second Annual Easter Egg hunt with our friends at Kings Point Pool!
The smallest kids got to hunt for eggs in the volleyball court.
The middle-aged kids got to search in the area surrounding the court.

And the oldest kids hunted eggs in the surrounding parameter.
After our traditional egg hunt on Easter morning, the girls dressed in their best Easter threads and we began our journey around town!

First stop was church. Then we went to Grandma and Grandpas for lunch and Easter fun with the cousins.
Owen, Caleb, Elizabeth, Jude, August, and Abigail.
We parted ways with the cousins and headed towards Great-Grandma's for a second lunch and another egg hunt.

My Grandma is so cute! She hid Nate and my eggs together!

As usual, we stored about three dozen eggs in our refrigerator, counted our blessings and thanked God for His sacrifice and called it a holiday.

This Easter was special and kicked off a wonderful season of new beginnings!
