The Great Bake Exchange!

'Tis the season for baking!!!
I would have included this post as a "part" of Christmas 2012, but I consider it more of a girls' night out involving cookies and wine! Cara invited me to my first ever bake exchange. Each guest was asked to bring two dozen cookies to exchange with others. I was so excited to actually have time to bake, that I brought two batches of cookies. The girls been sick, so they had to sit this one out. I'm not going to lie, baking without the kids can be very therapeutic.
The first batch was an Applesauce Oatmeal Raisin Cookie with Maple Icing. I found the recipe on Martha Stewart's website. Martha brings me great joy during the holiday season!

The second batch was a classic BHG (Better Homes and Gardens) recipe with a butterscotch twist.
 Chocolate and Butterscotch Chip Cookies

I packaged up the cookies and added them to this beautiful spread! There were so many amazing cookies! We walked around the table a few times until all of the cookies were taken!

As you can see, no cookie was left behind!
This is the wonderful arrangement that I went home with.
Cheers! To the always gracious Jansen hostesses! Thanks for the invitation and great company!
