Moving Day!

Closing day had finally come! We were eager to sign the paperwork and start loading the moving truck!
Right after we closed on our house!

Nate was skeptical about driving a 26' truck, but he managed it quite well!
We managed to nearly fit the entire storage unit into the truck! Jer was such a huge help, as well as Michael, Dad and Chris.
A million thank you's to those who helped us move...twice in two month's time! Mom watched over the girls while we went through closing and loading the truck at the storage unit.

Aunt Lindsay brought the girls a housewarming gift  and Popsicles and watched the kids play in the yard while we moved boxes and furniture into the house!

We moved right into the house and set up our beds within an afternoon's time! The girls were very excited to have their own rooms. We weren't sure that Abby fully understood what that meant, but she was too tired to care! She has done GREAT sleeping on her own every night since we've moved in. I know that Elizabeth appreciates the peace and quiet at bedtime!

Mattresses on the floor would have to suffice for our first night.

Abigail in her very own room, in her very own bed!

There were a handful of easy fix-it items that Nate and I felt were important...

...like this 1980's spaceship fixture.

It's a good thing that I know a pretty good electrician!

We replaced the fixture with a ceiling fan.
Paint really goes a long ways! So, we decided to paint and put together the upper living room. Just having one space fully put together has made home feel more cozy!

Knocked this job out in an hour!

I have lost track of the number of times we have drug the girls out to Home Depot! They are great sports!

Our small projects have since fed into big projects! I will update on the family room progress soon!
