This summer, I dropped the ball on summer soccer enrollment, so Elizabeth went along with the idea of Modified Tball. Having never played baseball (other than with plastic bats and balls in the backyard), we spent a couple of weeks breaking in a new glove and bat.
Practices were scheduled for Tuesdays and games for Thursdays. Unfortunately, it wasn't until the third Thursday that Elizabeth's team, The Angles, were able to participate in an official game. Despite the "organized chaos", the kids had a great time.
Each of the kids were given a handful of pitches with the opportunity to hit off of the tee as well. Elizabeth never needed a tee!
After-game snacks.
We took some of our own shots during the team's photo session. I am sure the photos I paid for will turn out better...
...except for this one! It's priceless.
We had to miss a week of practice/games because of our move, followed by a bi-week because of the 4th of July weekend. Therefor, we decided that we wouldn't finish off the season. I think that Elizabeth prefers spending her Tuesday and Thursday afternoons practicing her swimming skills at the pool anyways.
T-ball was fun, but I think that we will stick with soccer (more action to keep the kids occupied)! We look forward to the fall.
