Now that Elizabeth is a big bad 1st grader, she was able to participate in a full day of Field Day this year! The Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders partook in the Field Day fun last Tuesday! Peabody's PTO donated Panther Pride t-shirts to all of the kids for Field Day!
I spent a lot of time requesting and organizing volunteers for this year's fun. I love being a part of the Peabody community. While Field Day is a lot of work for the beginning of the school year, I love being a part of the girls' education. I have enjoyed getting to know the other Peabody Moms!
Parachutes was my favorite station to watch! It was always my favorite when I was growing up as well!
There were some competitive stations as well. This was the potato-sac race! Elizabeth's partner, Claire, fell and Elizabeth drug her across the finish line. I had to remind her to be considerate of her classmates. I might be biased, but if there were ribbons, Elizabeth would have won a lot of blue!
Maggie and Abigail joined us for a little while.
Elizabeth purchased a fuel-me-up lunch and Mom and I left for a short, but great lunch together.
After lunch, the kids took back to the fields for a short afternoon of more activities. Needless to say, Elizabeth slept VERY well!
Looking forward to next year!
