Abby could hardly contain herself as we set off for our morning walk up to Peabody on Wednesday. It was her first day of preschool. Nate left work for a short while to meet us for drop-off. We packed Abby her own lunch and brought bedding for her nap time mat. She was all set!
I think that I was more nervous than she was. In fact, she went into the classroom, found her name (which was perfectly purple) and sat down and started tracing the letters! I had to ask for a hug and a kiss. And then, because she was doing so well, we just left. It felt a little strange to walk away from her in such a new place, surrounded by so many new faces.
She was strangely OK! I guess there's nothing wrong with that!
I am slightly embarrassed that I only have ONE photo of Abigail on her very first day :(
Regardless, it was a great day for Abby and Nate and I couldn't be more pleased with Abby's teachers and her experience in the first week.
She is already asking when she goes to school again.
