Last night, we headed to Coors Field to watch the Colorado Rockies play the Arizona Diamondbacks. The girls were very excited about going to the game. We didn't go to any games last year and neither of them could remember the last game that we all attended. We were all excited! We packed some sandwiches and snacks and headed downtown.
The girls, especially Abigail, were overwhelmed (in a good way) by the size of the ball field, all of the fans, and all that was going on around us!
| Little Rockies fans! |
Our original seats were in the rock pile. However, after getting settled, we were approached by the Toyota promotions team who gave us a chance to sit down in the Toyota Tailgate section. We were given a Troy Tulowitzki autographed baseball, a bunch of classic ball park snacks (peanuts and cracker jacks), game-day programs, and some fancy patio furniture to enjoy the game from!
We basically had our own private section above the bull pin where we could want the pitchers warming up and where we were able to see the fountains rise after a home run.
We also had 15 seconds of fame on the jumbo screen.
Nate took the girls for some cotton candy!

We took our pictures with Dinger! Abigail was so happy to have met Dinger and was heart broken when she dropped his autographed photo into the bull pin. It really put a damper on her night.
| It's not a ball game without hot dogs and beers! |
Abby's time was occupied while she was stuffing loads and loads of peanuts in her coat pockets! She's like a little squirrel.
Elizabeth spent some time with Nate learning about the game of baseball. She has a lot to learn but she will pick it all up when she starts tee ball in June.
And then, Abigail was tired so it was time to go home. So, we hiked back to the parking garage and headed home.
We expected to have a great time, but we were pleasantly surprised by all of the special treats! The Tulo ball is awesome and, to top it all off, we got home in time to see the Rockies beat the Diamondbacks, 5-4 in the 10th inning.
