Happy Halloween friends!
This year, Elizabeth set out to be a vampire, but I knew that once we set foot in the costume store, she would change her mind! Elizabeth chose to be Mirada, from Brave. Abigail wanted to be "Princess Punzle" from the get-go. We found her costume and the long blonde wig easily.
Halloween, for myself, also meant planning the Kindergarten Halloween bash! I signed up to be head classroom parent for Elizabeth's Kindergarten class. This means that I am in charge of collecting funds and planning the Halloween and Valentines Day parties, as well as the Teacher Appreciation party.
Because Elizabeth is in the AM Kindergarten class, she and her classmates had to miss out on the school-wide Halloween parade. So, Ms. Orrill set up for the kids to parade throughout the classrooms! The kids lined up, along with the preschool class, and went in and out of the classrooms!
I had planned Qtip skeletons and shape monster crafts along with decorate your own cookies! (Pintrest played a huge role here.) At the end of the party the kids played Monster Musical Chairs! Everybody won and received goodie-bags. The kids, and their parents had a great time.
I was so busy planning the Kindergarten party, that our pumpkin carving was neglected. Halloween night snuck up on us! After taking Banjo to the vet, we stopped in a YaYa and Pops' house for dinner and trick-or-treating. Then, we were off to Grandma and Grandpa's. We followed the route to Kathryn's house and back! The girls' were spoiled rotten at each and every stop!
We now have excessive amounts of candy, mostly good for bribing the girls to eat their dinner! I was excited to take the Halloween decorations down and replace them with "fall" decorations!
We had fun! We hope you did too!
