All of the Colorful Eggs

This year for Easter, Lindsay decided to host an egg dying experience for the cousins. They fed us pizza and jelly beans and boldly let the kids go wild with the Easter egg dye. 

First we ran off some sugar in the yard!

 Gus and Owen joined in on the outdoor fun as well!

 Then it was time to make a mess...

 I was pleasantly surprised that none of the dye cups ended up on the floor and that Lindsay's white walls remained white! We had some dye on our hands, but that was the extent of the mess.

Thank you Aunt Lindsay for being so brave. The girls had way more fun dying eggs with their cousins than they would have with boring old Mom!

In an effort to fill the void between...well, Christmas and Easter, I thought I would post some random pictures of the girls!

Abby loves to braid her hair like Elsa in Frozen! And she will sing, "Let It Go" until I beg her to stop!

Elizabeth has been teaching herself out to skate. After a few spills and trips, she isn't doing to bad!

Abby would rather NOT skate; she would rather get into her sister's play makeup!

 The girls and I went to dinner a few weeks ago while Nathan was with his pals. We had a fun, ladies' night at Parry's Pizza.

 Starbucks cake pops will get a smile every time.

 Along with roller skating, Elizabeth will make any excuse to get dirty. I asked Elizabeth where she got the mud and she said, "Dirt and water, what do you think?"

Sassy pants! 

She made a birds next out of this dirt, water, and dry grass concoction. 

I sometimes wonder if Abby and Elizabeth could be more different than one another. Fortunately, they also compliment one another, which makes them the perfect best friends and sisters.

Fun with Friends.

This year's Spring Break was a "staycation". We didn't make any big plans. In fact, everybody was sick most of the time. We managed to do a few fun things.

We went and saw Lego Movie.

 And we went to Lone Tree Recreation Center with the Syers'.

I wouldn't say that it was an epic break, but we had a little bit of fun! Swimming was a small taste of what our summer is going to look like...I CANNOT wait until the epic summer by the pool!

Family Fun!

I would say that once a month the VanDusseldorp Family gets together for dinner. Sometimes it's for a Birthday dinner and other times it's just for fun. 

We went to 5 Star Burgers for Lindsay's Birthday this year.

 Dan and Julie hosted dinner at another time. We grilled some meat and we all brought a dish to share.

In addition to our random dinners, we all see each other on Sundays for lunch after church. 

It's Snowing...Quick, Go Play!

The recent snow storm reminded me that I had some cute snow photos to share. We didn't get a whole lot of snow this year and when we did, it was gone in a matter of eight hours. So, we had to get out and play as quickly as possible!

The Many Faces of Abigail!

As you all may very well know, Abby is a child of many faces! She woke up in a very special, silly mood this afternoon so I captured her silliness with the camera! 

I think that this one is my favorite!

Abby, like every child, is very trying sometimes. However, these special moments of joy far surpass the rough ones.

Fancy for a Night

We kicked off another wonderful weekend by taking Dana and Chris for dinner at Elway's in Cheery Creek. People have asked what the occasion was and honestly, we just wanted to do something nice with two of our best friends. Dana and Chris are wonderful friends of ours and we are so blessed to have them in our lives so we wanted to go out and celebrate our friendship! 

Nate and I had been to Elway's before. Last time, we skimped on our meal but realized it's not work spending $30 on chicken...so we upped our expectations this time and went all out!

Dana and I split the lobster tail and filet! We also had mashed potatoes and asparagus.

Nate of course got the prime rib and lobster tail. Chris did the same!

We so enjoyed an amazing meal with two amazing friends!
